Mazda Cars

Mazda’s are a wonderful brand of vehicles; it is no wonder that Mazda car sales in Brisbane are incredibly high. If you are looking for a Mazda in Brisbane, you should definitely look for a Mazda car dealer. Dealers offer a number of benefits that you simply will not find elsewhere.  Brisbane Mazda dealers offer great prices that other competition simply cannot be beaten.

Mazda dealers offer benefits such as;

  • Dealer’s warranty and extended warranties
  • Used care trade ins
  • Choice of type of Mazda
  • Dealers often have repair shops

Dealer’s warranty and extended warranties

Many Brisbane Mazda dealerships offer a warranty on their vehicles. This can range from a 30 day full warranty and return policy to a vehicle being sold in an as is state, with no guarantees at all. Some dealers offer to cover the repairs to a vehicle over a certain time period. Very often it will be a smart idea to purchase an extended warranty contract. These will often cover the cost to maintain and repair a vehicle over a certain time period or mileage.

Trading in your used car

Trading in your old car to a Brisbane Mazda dealership has many advantages. When you trade in your old car, you do not have to go through the usual hassle of selling it.  It also can end up getting you more value than if you sold it to someone else. The value that you get can lower the payment on your new Mazda, or even act as a down payment in some cases. You do not usually have this option when trying to purchase a vehicle from an individual.

Choice of type of Mazda

Buying a new Mazda from a Brisbane dealership gives you a big advantage because you get to choose the type of Mazda you want to buy. When buying from an individual, you are very limited as to the type of Mazda you want. When purchasing from Brisbane Mazda’s, you have a wide range of options, such as different models and colors.

Repair Shops

A lot of car dealerships will have repair shops on the premise of the business. This allows them to repair the car for you, saving you money on having to pay for expensive mechanic repairs.

There are so many advantages from buying from a dealer over anyone else; there is no reason not to. For more information on what dealers have to offer, or for more information on Mazda’s, visit your local Brisbane Mazda dealer.

Mazda and the Rotary Engine

If you’ve never experienced the magic of a rotary engine then you should do so ASAP! Head on down to your local Mazda Dealer Brisbane and test drive one today. Although proven by Mazda to be a force in the engine world, the rotary has never really been picked up by any other major car manufacturers. This article will very briefly look into the history of Mazda and the rotary engine as well as some advantages and disadvantages of the rotary engine.

The rotary engine itself was an idea dreamed up by a 17 year old German named Felix Wankel in 1919. Development began in 1924 and in 1957 the first prototypes were established and tested. Mazda began selling their first (and the world’s first) two rotor engined car, the Cosmo Sport, on May 30th 1967. With proven reliability and over 3 million kilometres of test drives in six years, Mazda was ready to start exporting their rotary engined cars to the rest of the world.

Enter the realm of the turbocharger – the cosmo RE Turbo went on sale in 1982 and was the first rotary engine equipped with a turbocharger. Due to being resistant to knocking, it was found the rotary engine was better suited to this type of set up.

One of the most recognisable cars in Mazda’s history is the RX7. With production from 1978 – 2002 it led the way for rotary development, with the introduction of the sequential twin turbo system (use of a single turbocharger at low speeds and the full twin system at high speeds). The successor to the RX7 is the high spec’d Mazda RX8. Take a test drive of the Mazda RX8 in Brisbane at your local Oldmac Mazda Dealer Brisbane.

With the brief history out of the way, what are some of the general advantages of the rotary? Put simply: simplicity (less moving parts, lower production costs), smoothness (allowing for higher rpm and higher power output), size (the function of the engine allows for small size and small engine displacement, ultimately saving weight). Being such a high performance engine though there comes a few disadvantages: no major fuel savings,  lower torque output (not that this really matters on the road!) and the need for regular maintenance (due to oil injection to keep the chambers lubricated, regular oil checks are needed).

Mazda BT 50

bt50

Mazda BT50 is a powerful ute that feels great on any road. Furthermore, the ride feels the same way the car looks. There are, however, an awful lot of pretty cars–why should you prefer this one? Other seemingly distinct models from Mazda, such as Tribute, have similar features like off-road capability and both come in 4×2 or 4×4 models.

Mazda BT50 has set itself apart with being the best 4WD ute in 2007, as said by 4WD Monthly. Its trademark features are: dubbed MZR-CD; direct fuel injection, and four valve-engines that come in 2.5 litres for 4×2 and 3.0 for 4×4. This is a great car not only power, but also safety-wise, coming with an enhanced electronic brake distribution and side airbags. The trademarks of this car are the low fuel consumption and the sporty look. For acquiring or trying out a Mazda BT 50 Brisbane has a lot of dealers who specialize in selling new or used Mazda cars.

Unlike other Mazda’s models such as Mazda Tribute, which tend to consume a lot of fuel, the BT50 is a real birdy. The fuel consumption is, of course, dependant on the “weight” of your feet, but, for example, Tributes consume roughly a little more than 15 litres/100km in the city, as opposed to BT50’s 9-11 litres. Ergonomically, however, BT50 is a regular Mazda–a comfortable saloon, not falling short on the space for legs or passengers for that matter.

If you want a sporty you can also get to with, not only camping, BT50 is a far more legit choice than most of the others. If you are located in the city, you should really think about whether you need an SUV like the Mazda Tribute Brisbane is a big city and the fuel consumption might put a huge toll on you in the long run.
